Hendler Gasket Set Review

Not a brand I’d heard of before, but I Googled them and they’ve been a UK wholesaler of motorcycle products since 2017. They were also the cheapest I could find for a full GS500 gasket kit, so I gave them a go.
Generally, the gaskets looked OK and those that I needed for the top end fitted without issue. I wasn’t quite so convinced with the valve stem seals, they looked more plasticy than the ones I’d taken out, but I used them anyway. Time will tell, I’ll report back if I experience any issues with those.
Other things to note, the kit includes aluminium washers for the head bolts rather than OE copper and it doesn’t include the 4 little seals that go between cylinder and cylinder head (Part No.11143-06B00). These are expensive to purchase separately. If I were buying another gasket kit, I'd do a bit more research and see if any of the
alternative kits included these.

Those minor issues were specific to the GS kit but you may experience similar issues with the sets for other models, so it may be worth checking to see just how 'full' the full gasket set actually is. Mind you, that applies to a lot of the aftermarket gasket sets, you need to study the seller's photos well and/or question the seller to establish exactly what is/isn't included.

I purchased my set from EBAY for £47, but the price now seems to have increased by a tenner.
Should really have taken a before picture, but I got carried away with the rebuild and forgot to take a picture of the gasket kit! So this is an after picture which basically consists of the gaskets that I didn't use (I only did the top end of the engine) but you get the idea!
UPDATE: The bike's done about 300 miles since the rebuild, everything's still oil tight.
