Several of the ‘Shed Built Custom Bikes’ facebook group members are monkey bike owners and builders (serial offenders in some cases!).
This bike belongs to page boss, Matt Hooper, and this is what he had to say about his bike:-
‘Right, my monkey is a 2004 Jincheng 50cc (I plan on fitting a 140cc engine) it is pretty much standard with just a few subtle changes. I bought it as a non runner a few months ago after someone buying it new in 04, doing less then 300 miles on it and then leaving it to rot in the back of a shed! I went through the bike and gave it a good clean and degrease, then fitted it with an aftermarket head light, seat and exhaust all supplied by mini bike craze over in Barnsley. I sanded and prepared the tank which was painted by a good friend of mine who owns Travis Autos. I had the shed built custom bikes logo painted on which was all airbrushed free hand by Ste Travis. All in all it's a fun little bike to ride, but it was built to use as a show piece whenever I put a stand on at a bike show.
