Laser Brake Bleed Tool Review

Bleeding brakes can be a messy job, well it is when I do it, and if you’re doing it on your own, you may need to be a contortionist as you try to work the lever and open / close the bleed nipple as required. The Laser 2906 Brake Bleeder is designed to ease your life by having a one way valve incorporated into the collecting pot. You select the appropriate sized adapter for the bleed nipple, connect up the collection pot and then leaving the bleed nipple open, simply pump the brake lever until no more air bubbles appear in the outgoing fluid. (Remember to keep topping up the master cylinder as required.) Finally, tighten the bleed nipple and you should be good to go (or should that be stop!).

Here it is all connected up and working. The hose is quite short and stiff so you will probably need something to support the container. Does it work? Well yes, but I find that you do pump through a lot of brake fluid before all the air bubbles have disappeared. It’s not really a problem as even the smallest pot of brake fluid has more than enough for the average set of motorcycle brakes.

I can still manage to make a mess though!
You can usually find the brake bleeder online for around £12.
