Stonham Bike Show 2022
It was glorious weather for this year's bike show and the organisers were rewarded with a good turnout of visitors. I'm still a little disappointed with the show itself. There weren't many bikes actually on show (and many of those don't stay for very long) and trade stands are still a bit sparse. The Two Brothers Racing Stunt Team was there though and they are always very entertaining. You could also have watched the wall of death riders. All in all, a good day out, but I still give it a could do better rating.
Interestingly, very few cafe racers, scramblers, brats etc. on show. Has this custom phase passed? What's going to be the next trend, I wonder..
Yamaha RD400 Cafe Racer
And a very nice standard RD400
A very unusual NVT (Norton Villiers Triumph) 175 Rambler.
Plus a stunning Yoshimura Suzuki.
A smattering of 70s two stroke triples.
And some 80s two strokes.
As the bigger ones get more expensive, the little versions start to become more popular. I like the white better than the blue.
Plenty of carbon on display on the Norton V4 SS
The future? I'd have an electric bike if they were cheaper and had a better range.
Some classic Japanese tiddlers and middleweights. The YB100 engine was a popular 'upgrade' if you wanted your FS1E to go faster!
I liked the little KH100's makeover.
Something brand spanking new - the Triumph Speed Triple 1200RR
Some more unusual beasts - the Benelli Tornado Tre
Never seen one of these before - a Heinkel Tourist
The original superbike - the Laverda Jota
And to finish, a trio of Royal Enfields of various ages.
