Offbeat Bikes Magazine
There are always lots of little bits and pieces that need making for a project bike - such as cable guides and mounts. Here I was attempting to build a little jig that would allow me to form a bracket that bolted to the bottom yoke and provided a mounting point for the nose fairing.

IBiiS GS500 Wiring
Trying to find homes for all the electrical gubbins and neatly store the wiring is always a challenge.
The bike is fully mocked up here (except for the mickey mouse ear style rear view mirrors). I'd just had my first (tentative) ride across the lawn. Slightly nervous as some of the brackets were still only tack welded in place!

IBiiS GS500 next to standard GS500
IBiiS GS500 next to a late model standard GS500. Although it doesn't look like it, seat heights are the same, the blue one just leans over further - due mostly to a saggy sidestand.
Bike all stripped now and ready for painting. All the paint work was done with rattle cans. I used Plasti-kote paint as previously they'd proved to be very good and produced a durable finish. However, I don't know if the formula has changed, the paint was still easy to spray, but it doesn't half chip easily. I'm really disappointed in it. I suspect that eventually I'll end up stripping and repainting the entire bike.

IBiiS GS500 engine
Engine is now much cleaner than it was when it arrived. I decided not to paint it.
It also has a better gearbox output shaft fitted. Patience eventually paid off when a reasonably priced one came up for sale on ebay.
This picture also heralds the start of the final build, as the engine awaits the arrival of the rest of the bike.
